Well, As the Ramazan starts we start discussing about a lot of things like specially
girl’s gossips include Eid Dresses, Makeups, jewelry, mehndi, Shoes, deciding places to visit on Eid,
get together with friends and family,
thinking about try to make some new dishes
on Eid for special guests. On the other hand, boys’ gossips include just plans to visit different places
and looking for tailor to stitch a suit for Eid day or get a ready-made kurta shalwar from J., Bissino, Gul Ahmed, Khaadi etc. That is basically a trend that we are following now.
On the other hand, if we talk about
our past means almost 15 to 20 years ago, I personally miss the love of my elders. When I was a kid my
grand father and father were used to for buying different gifts for me which
includes a made in china pistol,
small outdoor crackers, different cap, glasses etc. Parents also select the clothes for Eid. While having all these things we were more curious
about Eidi (New currency notes as a
gift on special occasion). The happiness behind that new dress and all other
stuff was just priceless.
A lot of girls were used to for
having same color dresses, latest mehndi designs, purchasing
beautiful Eid cards and shared with
friends and relatives, sharing the food early morning with neighbours, Eid’s day
unstoppable gossips, waiting for a
tv show or movie on PTV. It was such a delighted and memorable time.
Now, trends got changed, priorities
changed and due to more advancement in technology the emotional element is
getting finished. We love to buy apparels
with own choice but still feel unsatisfied, we don’t have much time to write a
message for Eid wishes and we just
forward someone else best Eid wish, we don’t have time to spend with our family
members. We love to go outside with our
friends. We want to eat from our favorite
restaurants. We want to get shoes with own choice.
So, what do you think these brands
(apparel, shoes, accessories, Fast food etc) are playing a meaningful role in our lives or just providing ease in life ?????
